Theophylact’s Explanation of the Holy Gospel According to St. Matthew. It is the first volume in a series of what will be, with God’s help, a translation of the complete commentaries of Bl. Theophylact on the New Testament, except for the Book of Revelation which he did not include in his own work. The Good News According to Matthew, known as the Book of Matthew, was written by the Apostle Matthew. His full name was Mattithiah and was also a tax collector before becoming an Apostle to Jesus.
